NOMI is an Australian furniture brand that marries traditional craftsmanship with original design and innovation.
The NOMI aesthetic is born of a desire to honour craftsmanship and honesty of material, inspired by characteristics of Japanese joinery and its masterful combination of precision, simplicity and sophistication. In Japanese woodworking tradition, a “nomi” is a chisel. “Nomi” are widely considered to be the purest tool, representative of the woodworker and his craft.
We work with emerging designers from around the world who share our ethos, as a way to foster a culture of creativity and offer them an outlet for their ideas. NOMI products are accessed through our interactive platform delivering real time pricing and lead times. Parametric product models allow users to customise the size, shape, material and finish on products and direct integration into drawing software allows architects and interior designers to streamline their workflow.

All of our production is exercised through responsible, best practice manufacturing, using only sustainably harvested FSC timber. NOMI products all nest, stack or knock down for efficient shipping.
